California Resources and Training - CARAT

CARAT’s mission is to enhance community and economic development in California. To achieve this mission CARAT: 1) identifies service gaps and implements programs within the business assistance industry, 2) raises the standards of service and builds capacity among business assistance providers, 3) generates additional resources for business assistance providers, 4) expands access to technical assistance for small businesses throughout the State of California, especially in underserved, low-income, rural and urban communities, and 5) cultivates leadership in the community economic development industry. In addition, CARAT coordinates the delivery of trainings for small businesses on how they can employ the Internet, software applications, and broadband technology to increase profits and reduce expenses.
