For many, SCORE “Counselors to America’s Small Business” is the best source of free, confidential, real-world business advice to help you build your small business—from idea to start-up to success.
SCORE’s extensive national network of more than 10,500 volunteer experts provide relevant business advice and training to help small businesses through all stages of business development. Start-ups and small businesses can either meet one-on-one with a SCORE counselor at one of the local SCORE chapters or receive business advice through our national on-line counseling services.
In the East Bay, SCORE offers face-to-face counseling and workshops in downtown Oakland and at many of the Chambers of Commerce in Alameda, Contra-Costa, and Solano counties. We also offer low-cost workshops about starting a business, with specialized classes on retail basics, export/import, and starting a restaurant.
