Going Green & Getting Certified

Oakland is a national leader in green business and sustainable policies and practices.  There are many local resources to help businesses learn how to go green, get certified, and network with other green businesses.

Getting Certified

Alameda County Green Business Program
The Alameda County Green Business Program offers certification for  businesses that can demonstrate that they practice resource conservation (water and energy) and pollution prevention (toxics reduction). In addition to recognizing businesses for their green practices, Certified Green Businesses can use the highly recognizable logo on their advertising and are able to network with other Green Businesses.
